Caring about our planet’s resources and the environment lies at the very core of our daily activity. That is why we treat wood with great respect, doing our best to fully utilize its potential. The Mood Stories collection relies on wood-based products that are mainly created with the use of wood waste. Such an approach allows us to creatively reuse materials by coming up with durable and practical products for our customers. All that means that MOOD and WOOD coexist in a healthy and environmentally friendly symbiosis. The worlds of different inspirations drawing upon a wealth of patterns, colors and textures have been created without inflicting any harm on nature.
Pfleiderer sources its timber from certified forests.
We comply with the rules of circular economy.Approximately 90% of timber used at our plants has the form of wood chips, saw dust, etc.and is sourced as waste from other industries. In accordance with the requirements of FSC® certification, we constantly control the sources of its origin, to which we attach particular importance. That is why we purchase it only from certified areas, i.e. those where sustainable forest management is carried out. We are also Poland’s largest recycler of end-of-life wood. Old furniture, pallets, wooden boxes, beams and other products – these are the source of recycled raw materials used in our production. We also systematically improve the efficiency of production processes. We work according to the principles of sustainable development and we are constantly looking for solutions that will allow us to preserve priceless natural resources for future generations.
The company permanently improves its production process and invests resources to ensure the highest level of environmental safety of its plant operations. Our company has been continuously improving its manufacturing process and investing funds to ensure the highest level of environmental safety of the operations of our plant. The most important of these include, among the others: construction of a wet electrostatic precipitator, construction of a baghouse filter station for sawdust removal, construction of a sawdust storage silo, replacement of high pressure chips transport with tubular transport systems in order to reduce electricity consumption and to eliminate dust emissions from pneumatic transport processes, construction of an air compensation system for removal of Volatile Organic Compounds and replacement of traditional lighting with LED lighting in order to reduce electricity consumption.
THE WORMHOUSE PROJECTPfleiderer gets actively involved in market projects in line with the “Zero waste” concept. One of them is the Wormhouse project. The Wormhouse is an investor's dream come true for a house for a family of 4 that wants to live comfortably, close to and in harmony with the nature. The author of the project is well-known architect Piotr Kuczia – supporter of environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and green design; The Wormhouse won a distinction in the Excellent Communication Design category in the German Design Award 2018 competition. The project uses, among other things, MFP P5 building boards by Pfleiderer.
THE SOLACE PROJECTThe compact building has a living area of 45 m2 (of which 10 m2 on the mezzanine). It was created with contemporary needs in mind – it meets the expectations of pro-ecological customers, and at the same time stands out thanks to its low cost. It is worth to remember that this is an energy-plus house, which means that during a year, it will generate more energy than the amount consumed by its inhabitants. The project uses Pfleiderer’s MFP P5 PremiumBoards – ideal for prefabricated elements and cheaper than solid wood. MFP P5 PremiumBoard was used for the construction of the structural elements due to its strength, resistance to moisture and fire, as well as its tensile and bending strength.
